I first started communicating with Salome in 2008 after reading an article about her work with shea producers in Nigeria. Her aim was to assist in reducing poverty by creating employment among rural women by training them in shea butter/nuts production to meet international and exportable standards. She is the founder and president of Womens Foundation for Shea Butter Making Skills (WOFSHEMS).

Our core beliefs in the following areas has made an ongoing business relationship possible.
- Produce premium quality shea butter for use in the cosmetic and personal care industry
- Empower women economically by purchasing shea nuts and butter at a fair market price
- Promote the use of shea butter on the global market. The sustained growth of shea butter will lead to a direct increase in women's income and will in turn impact their communities.
