Partners in Quality - Salome Ihedirionye and WOFSHEMS

I first started communicating with Salome in 2008 after reading an article about her work with shea producers in Nigeria. Her aim was to  assist in reducing poverty by creating employment among rural women by training them in shea butter/nuts production to meet international and exportable standards. She is the founder and president of Womens Foundation for Shea Butter Making Skills (WOFSHEMS).

Our core beliefs in the following areas has made an ongoing business relationship possible.

• Produce premium quality shea butter for use in the cosmetic and personal care industry
• Empower women economically by purchasing shea nuts and butter at a fair market price 
• Promote the use of shea butter on the global market. The sustained growth of shea butter will lead to a direct increase in women's income and will in turn impact their communities.

ACF Leadership Conference

We had a great weekend at the African Christian Fellowship (ACF)  East Region Leadership Conference. It was a time of planning and setting goals on how we can have a greater impact on the African Continent through our various local ACF Chapters. It was a fun time of fellowship and reconnecting with old and new friends
